How to destress when life is extra busy

There’s no doubt that life can get insanely busy at times, and sometimes it get s to a point where we really stress ourselves out, and that's not good for our health in the slightest. If you’re finding that you’re getting near to that point and don’t know what to do, here are some de-stress tips.


Learn when to say no - When it comes to working and social life, sometimes we ram too much into our diary and we’re too booked up. This is when you’re allowed to say no. You don’t have to go to every social gathering or take on extra hours, sometimes you need the time for you to have a few hours and literally chill doing nothing. If you explain that to people, they will understand.


Find your chill activity - We all have something that can immediately make us feel at ease when stress levels are high. It can be unwinding with a book, going on a beach walk, having a bath, watching movies or simply spending time with your loved ones. Whatever it is, find it and ensure you do it next time you can feel yourself getting stressed.


Take a few days off - There’s no shame in using some of your annual leave days as a time to de-stress and focus on some life admin tasks. We all need a break to stay sane and calm our minds down.
